Wow – where to start with Makenzie and Sander’s wedding. This was my first full day wedding, and let me say, I am in love! The energy surrounding weddings is something I LOVE (yes – even the occasional stress). Covid has changed a lot of plans for couples – but the intimacy of a smaller event is something so special.
The first stop was getting ready photos at The Castle Resort. Shauna from Beyoutiful Artists did such an amazing job on glamming up these gorgeous girls! Kayley from Eikonic Salon and Spa also did an amazing job on their hair (it held up all day!). Make sure to check them out!
After everyone was glammed up and ready, it was time for the first looks. Makenzie decided on a first look with her dad and with her husband-to-be before the ceremony. I will be sharing those photos in a separate blog post (get ready for the sweetest moments!)
When I’m photographing large groups, I love to capture real moments and laughter, and this crew did not disappoint! I could tell how much they loved being together and it made for the best time!
The ceremony was next up, which was at Livinit Fitness Plus – and wow, what a perfect location! This ceremony was full of tears, laughter and just straight up love!
After the ceremony, it was happy hour – lawn games, tacos (if you haven’t tried Livinit’s food, go there now!), live music by Tyler Smith and just an epic celebration overlooking the most beautiful mountain views of the valley!
Dinner was held inside – and wooooow, it was something to swoon over! We followed dinner up with a smoky sky golden hour shoot, and dancing the night away to live music by The Phonix Band! Check out the last bit of the day below!
I love the simplicity of this gorgeous cake! It was done by Loco Cupcakes – go check her out!
I want to give a huge thank you to the Lekas’ for having me capture their big day! I had the best time and I am so excited to shoot more weddings in the future!
